Since 2015, MWW has published the Open Access Journal Zeitschrift für digitale Geisteswissenschaften (ZfdG), which presents and discusses research results, thematic anthologies, and project descriptions from the field of Digital Humanities. In view of the upheavals in the field of scholarly publishing, the Platform for Open Access Publication (PoP) project is building a digital publication environment into which the ZfdG will also be integrated in the future.

The Zeitschrift für Ideengeschichte was part of MWW from 2014 to 2020. It will continue to be published by the three collaborating institutions, the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz - Max Planck Institute, and the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz.
